Escuela Secundaria Técnica México Visit
The Belize Solid Waste Management Authority (BSWaMA) welcomed students from Escuela Secundaria Técnica México for an educational tour of the Regional Sanitary Landfill. Leading the tour was Public Relations Officer, Tyronne Chimilio, and Landfill Supervisor, Peter McKoy, who guided the students through the facility, providing insight into the critical role of proper waste disposal and sustainable waste management.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to see firsthand how waste is managed in an environmentally responsible manner, reinforcing the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. BSWaMA remains committed to educating and empowering Belize’s youth on best practices in waste management, ensuring that future generations understand their role in preserving a healthier environment.
